- The ATS 4000 is capable of automatically performing a soft load transfer between the utility and generator power sources. It allows the generator to run in parallel with the utility, if needed.
- Provides reliable and versatile systems monitoring and interaction with all transfer switch functions. The ATS 4000 offers a comprehensive array of options for customer design flexibility:
- additional protective relaying
- electronic metering
- remote communications
- additional interface options
- integral overcurrent protection capability for service entrance applications
- transient voltage surge suppression
- Incorporates high withstand drawout breakers, totally enclosed for maximum arc suppression and isolation during power transfer.
- Permits true quick-break, quick-make manual operation under full load. Operation under load is completely safe to personnel and equipment.
- Provides safe, positive disconnection for electrical isolation of the logic circuits
for maintenance or manual operation.
- Application modes and settings are easily adjusted through local menu driven user panel and via optional remote software interface.
- Modular design eases preventive maintenance and adapting to new
application requirements.
- Closed transition eliminates outages during intentional transfer.
During a sudden utility outage, the generator automatically starts, increases to rated frequency and voltage, and transfers power to the facility through open transition mode generation systems.
By operating a generator in parallel with the utility during high demand periods and allowing the generators to supply a fixed power output, businesses can realize significant energy savings.
By participating in interruptible rate programs, businesses can recover sizable portions of their utility bills by transferring all or part of their electrical load to an on-site generator.
In import-export mode, the generator soft loads to a user-adjustable kW level. The power flow to the utility remains constant while the generator output fluctuates to meet the requirements of the load. Depending on utility requirements, this application might require additional metering equipment on the utility feed.
